I think I skipped a book's worth of plot to get to this part of the series, but backstory exposition made it easy to figure out what's going on.Two books in one here; I'll just review them together.It feels like the Morganville story is getting back on track with these two books. Rachel Caine is good at horror, and I enjoyed the different ways she found to be creepy in each story. In the first one, we have a sentient, crazy undead computer who is still in love with her creator, and can generateFade Out:In Fade Out, Claires life gets a little bit more crazy if thats even possible. Caine has a wild imagination that she has translated into text for all to enjoy. The books are addictive and fast reads making it easy to read one novel in a sitting. For those who enjoy vampire drama, this is at the top of the list. Kind of annoyed how they made this big deal about going to Dallas, but then spend only 2 chapters talking about it because they just got into a whole lot of trouble in between the ride over to Dallas. Don't wanna spoil anything, but I guess I just was expecting more of shit to hit the fan in Dallas...so it was alright just got really annoyed because I was just reading and waiting for the whole Dallas thing the entire time.

I love these books. This one took me longer to read but I kind of hit a no read zone for a few months. Now I'm back on top and reading like crazy. In the book Fade Out Ada goes crazy and Claire is in for the worst. If Ada gets shut down Morganville could be in a state of turmoil. Can Claire and her friends save the day. Fade Out- 4 stars - This series really is heating up! I really like this installment, and the characters. It was pretty fast paced and action packed. You really feel for Amelie as she grieves Sam's death. Claire's parents still don't really fit into this series very well. Of course I figured at some point Ada was going to become crazier than Myrnin, and that the group would have a relationship hiccup.
