Eroii celor două poveşti de iubire sunt în faţa unor alegeri care marchează profund existenţa. O profesoară de liceu şi o elevă educată la maici iubesc şi sunt iubite. Poveştile nu sunt simple deloc, destinul este uneori potrivnic, finalul acestora nu e neapărat previzibil.

Commentary Appertaining To Books Accidentul. Orașul cu salcâmi

"Accidentul" - was the one I read. Found it pretty boring, not going to lie - the book wasn't that big but I struggled to finish it.Well, I didn't actually struggled - I just wasn't dying to read it to the end. Considering its fame (in the Romanian Literature), I think it's a very conventional story without much of a deeper message. It's fine but I've read hundred of books that I would recommend before this one.

Doamne, citesc aproape in fiecare iarna aceasta carte, de fiecare data o inteleg altfel!

Observa acum, când el părea să se depărteze, că gândul de a-l ști pe el apropiat îi este necesar și consolator, că iubirea lui era singurul lucru de preț în acea viață monotonă și veche. Erau gesturi care îi plăceau, erau cuvinte cu care se obișnuise, erau glume pe care le aștepta. Câtă vreme le avusese în chip firesc, nu își dăduse poate seama cât îi erau de dragi, dar acum, când era pe cale să le piardă, își spunea că fără ele nu va putea trăi.

This time I read only "Accidentul", which I had already reviewed here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...As I read it along the English translation, it felt that the translator had rushed. There are many instances of skipped sentences, a constant confusion between 'alb' (white) and 'albastru' (blue), and a couple of sentences that he misunderstood (they are almost word by word as they would be in Spanish, yet the English version means something quite different).
