She worked for the Dallas County Sheriff's Department for four years as a Detention Service Officer, and while there came to appreciate the fragility of the unknown. She is the host of a radio talk show called "The Honey Hour" on DFWiradio.com, and contributing writer for Best Southwest Moms Blog.

I enjoyed every moment of City of the Guardians by Bee L Kirk. At first I thought it was Young Adult, then it took me for a spin being a story for all ages. This debut novel will move your emotions and make you contemplate over your own past while you learn to care for Alex and his friends. The characters were very well written and fleshed out to the fullest. My heart stopped while reading about these children's lives and how the angels helped other people in their daily lives. This book came highly recommended to me from a friend and I'm so happy I took her advice and read it.
