Weigh Up Of Books Gods in Oslo

This author puts a dark, modern spin on the classic superhero story. The characters are young adults who belong to Olympus, a powerful, global organization whose members have special abilities and powers. These abilities are not your run-of-the-mill flying or x-ray vision. They are much more interesting and many have a psychological aspect to them. Three rogue Olympians have been killing other members, and are now targeting the 3 main characters as the last on their list. Much of the book

This book was written by a high school student and unfortunately it reads like it was written by a high school student. While a very noble effort for a student, the book was bogged down by redundant dialogue that could have been described in shorter narrative, and contained a few too many cliched sentences. You'll have to keep your characters straight from the "human names" to the special "gods names."Definitely a special niche for this type of writing. And perhaps a little bit more editing.



I received this book from a first reads giveaway. I did not like the prologue, it felt a little bit like a kids Saturday morning show. There is a scene with a ladder that even made me groan a little. To make matters worse, the font used for the prologue as well as flashback scenes was not easy on the eye, well my eyes anyway.
