Chronicle In Favor Of Books Falling In (The Surrender Trilogy #1)
The debut of an emotionally charged and highly erotic contemporary romance trilogy, in which love and trust are the most dangerous games of all…With a dark past that would have shattered most people, Evelyn “Scout” Keats is doing what no one in her bleak world thinks possible—getting off the streets and leaving her impoverished life behind. She’s a new maid at the luxurious Patras Hotel, and aims to keep her job no matter what. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to sacrifice her dignity, or let anyone into her heart. The risk of losing either is just too great.
When hotel tycoon Lucian Patras discovers Evelyn in a compromising position, he uses everything at his disposal to seduce her—a proposition that both surprises and frightens her.
Ignorant to her true circumstances, Lucian relentlessly pursues Scout as a prize to be won. But he is soon given an unforgettable lesson in love and sacrifice when he learns how far Scout has gone to gain her independence and discovers that there are some things money can never buy.

I loved the Surrender Trilogy! Lydia is fantastic at layering a scene so never, throughout the whole book, did I feel bored or wished the story would unfold quicker. Falling In (book one) is more on the romantic side. Breaking out (book two) and Coming Home (book three) do a great job at combining romance with incredible steamy sex! I was so impressed. With so many of the erotic books that I read I care for the sex but not for the people having it. That was not the case with Evelyn and Lucian. I"He needed to possess her ruthlessly in a way that the sense of him would never leave her, his presence entombing itself so deeply that once removed she would feel hollow without him, steadfastly aware that something was missing. Him." Given popular ratings, was anxious to dig into this trilogy and am so glad I did! A very strong 4.25 star read!!!This is definitely an erotic emotionally charged book. It's not your run of the mill billionaire CEO romance, at least at first. Lucien is NOT a book
6 UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME STARS !!!WOW where do I start with this book of awesomeness? Our heroine, Evelyn (Scout), had an absolutely awful sad disadvantaged upbringing. Not sure if the word upbringing is even appropriate for the cards this poor girl was dealt. The writing was very good. I spent my two days off glued to my kindle, immersed in Scout's fucked up world. The book made me sad in parts but I was so rooting (pardon pun) for this girl. The setting was just as good. Down-on-her-luck maid
5 Amazing Stars!! Awesome book!!!This is more than a Cinderella story, it's a story that will steal you completely. Two fantastic heroes, an amazing story plot and beautiful writing. Lucien Patras is a billionaire, coming from a family that made a fortune from generations to generations. He's like a "Hilton" heir, he owns a chain of more than 20 luxury hotels all around the world and other businesses. He's in his mid thirties, is dark, sexy as hell, a total alpha man, commanding, controlling,
Overall this book in and of itself was very good. It does leave me wanting more, so I'll wait to do my big review until the very end LOL The end means EVERYTHING when it comes to me and books. I have to agree with most people that absolutely hated Lucian in the beginning. I also agree with my friend Rachel about that one scene that made me slightly uncomfortable in the very beginning. I am looking forward to reading more about Lucian's past and how he will continue to love and support Evelyn. I
4+ stars
2.5 starsWell I was really drawn into this book. Until about 70% in. Then it was almost a dnf. Scout is a homeless girl who gets a job as a maid in a fancy hotel. She cleans the suite of the owner, knocks over some papers on his desk and in walks said hotel asshole mogul. I really didn't warm to Lucian. He was a skeevy arrogant, self absorbed asshole. I really liked Scout in the beginning and even half way through the book. I could understand the draw to take up with a billionaire to get out of
