Assess Based On Books Take Me
As much as I love romance, I almost never read these types of Harlequin series romance books, because I usually find them too sappy, over the top, and dare I admit... poorly written for my tastes. But after hearing some good things about this one and noticing that it had a somewhat normal title, (as opposed to those "The Greek Billionaire Prince and his Virgin Secretary Mistress" type names) I decided to give it a try. And what do you know, I was pleasantly suprised! Not to say that I didn't

Oh, gosh, come on, this is dumb even for a Harlequin category romance. I would manage to suspend my disbelief for each new WTF moment, only for another one to come along. The hero and heroine get married... for convenience! They never see each other again! The hero never bothers to learn the heroine's legal name! The heroine wants to have a baby! She only wants to have the hero's baby! She sets herself up to meet the hero and he falls instantly in lust with her! They flirt and date for a bit!

Enjoyed this book both times I have read it. I really felt the pull-push of these characters and all they go through. Had good balance of things happening or going a certain way I didn't expect which kept it fresh and interesting. There is a certain "charged" feeling in this one that really adds to it.

Keeps your attention all the way to the end.

Almost 4 stars. It was pretty decent, and I was emotionally invested in the characters. I agree with another reviewer who said this was HP-like even though under the Blaze title. Mostly I felt like it was a little too long and I wasn't sure what the point of all the scenes were. But still a decent read.

This book is the first Blaze title I've read, but not the first one I've bought. It was very interesting and it was intense and I liked that the language wasn't as flowery as the majority of the romance books I read. But what bothered me was (view spoiler)[ that Jessie was intending to trick her husband Joshua (Who doesn't realize she's his wife) into getting her pregnant. That never turns out well in real life and I thought it really stood out in the book because the hero's mother had tricked
