Explanation In Pursuance Of Books Dancing Naked

Kia is sixteen and pregnant. Her world crumbles as she attempts to come to terms with the life growing inside her and what she must do. Initially convinced that abortion is her only option, Kia comes to understand that for her, the answers are not always black and white. As the pregnancy progresses, Kia discovers who her real friends are and where their loyalties lie. It is through her relationship with the elderly Grace that she learns what it means to take responsibility for one's life and the joy that can come from trusting oneself. Faced with the most difficult decision of her life, Kia learns that the path to adulthood is not the easily navigable trail she once thought, but a twisting labyrinth where every turn produces a new array of choices, and where the journey is often undertaken alone.

Beautiful.

Dancing Naked is a unique book in it's ability to be both tremendously heartbreaking while simultaneously being wonderfully heartwarming. I originally picked up this book thinking that it would be a light read to give myself a change of pace from all of the sad books about illness that I've been reading lately. I did not expect this book to be so heart-wrenching and meaningful, but that is really the only way to explain how this book made me feel. While I have never personally experienced

Why did i choose this book? -i choose this book because it look intersecting from the back. i had pick it up earlier but i didnt read it all i just just scanning and i put it down till i read it all and i like it alot!genre?-it is true because its about pregnancy and it can happen to a 16 year old. setting?- the setting takes place at a senior home when she volenteers to help out and at home when shes having a talk with her parents and also at the hospital when shes giving birth to brenna grace

Dancing Naked, by Shelley Hrdlitschka, is a book about Kia who is sixteen and gets pregnant and has to deal with it all by herself, until she meets a guy named Josh, and an old woman named Grace. Kia learns how to take responsibility for her actions and for a little life. I like this book because this book is real for some teen girls life, unlike other teen life books Dancing naked shows the cold hard reality of what happens in life. This book seems to me like a commonly expressed topic; teenage pregnancy. It's not the best book I've read, not really what I would call a page turner, either. I don't agree with the religious views expressed but there does lie a point within this that should be expressed to teenage girls. I do like the way the author expresses a 'motherly instinct' in Kia, the girl who is having a baby. I'm not finished reading this, but I'll soon find out if it's one to recommend or to just pass up.

I absolutely loved this book. Several kids had the opportunity to read this book in the 10th grade but unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough. This book amazed me, I thought it would be another teen pregnancy story, but it was soooo much more. After finding out how BIG of a jerk Derek was I loved Kia and the story so much more and then her youth leader Justin stepped into the picture and I thought for sure that he was a sure thing (or a solid dude) and he was all of those things but not necessarily

The spirit of life dances lightly among the people gather in the birthing room, teasing goosebumps to the surface of their skin, forcing fine hairs to stand at attention. It is elusive, silent and indefinable, yet they all feel its mysterious presence, its promise, as it swirls about, waiting to breathe the silent respiration of the universe into the newest member of the human family. So I discovered that my local library actually lets you check out e-books which you can read for a specific
