Interpretation In Pursuance Of Books Her Dear and Loving Husband (Loving Husband #1)
James Wentworth has a secret. By night, he’s a mild-mannered professor at Salem State College in Massachusetts. He lives quietly, making few ties anywhere. One night his private world is turned upside down when he meets Sarah Alexander, a dead ringer for his wife, Elizabeth. Elizabeth died under brutal circumstances, and James cannot bring himself to move on.Sarah also has a secret. She is haunted by nightmares, and every night she is awakened by visions of hangings, being arrested, and dying in jail–scenes from the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. As James comes to terms with his feelings for Sarah, he must also dodge accusations from a reporter desperate to prove that James is not who, or what, he seems to be. With the help of their friends, witches Jennifer and Olivia, James and Sarah piece their stories together and discover a mystery that may bind them in ways they never imagined. Will James make the ultimate sacrifice to prevent a new hunt from bringing hysteria to Salem again?
Her Dear and Loving Husband is Book One of the Loving Husband Trilogy. Look for Book Two, Her Loving Husband's Curse, from Copperfield Press Spring 2012.

I thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the interwoven history, and thought it was quite imaginative combining all these genre elements together. I imagine a "lady" (more of a lady than me, though the intelligent librarian-thing is cool) would be quite taken with the gallant love interest. This isn't my usual dark, twisted, fast-paced read, but it made for a surprisingly pleasant change. Makes you realize, we aren't quite as evolved now as we think.Quick Take: An intensely sweet romance is tied to a riveting narrative on the Salem witch trials. Clearly, much research went into crafting the descriptions of the setting and related cultural intricacies.Review:Before reading this book, I'd never heard of Ann Bradstreet nor her poem, "To My Dear and Loving Husband." (I know: nuts, right?) In fact, there was much I didn't know about the general time frame and setting that's highlighted in Meredith Allard's To My Dear and Loving Husband--beyond
James and Sarah's journey together covered three centuries and a frightening period in our precariously civilized society of the New World. Memories from their past threatened to split them apart or bring them even closer in their shared bond. This well written story endeared the characters and drew the reader into the plot to share the players sorrow and pain. I enjoyed meeting Sarah, James, and their extended group of friends. This very captivating tale was well worth reading.!!!!
There were a few nice ideas, but there's really no tension in the book. It feels too sedate for its own good.Sarah moves to Salem, Massachussetts in order to reboot her life after a divorce. She meets James, a retiring English professor whom she shares a bond to; she looks exactly like his dead wife. Except that his wife died three hundred years ago, and he is an immortal vampire. Mix an inquisitive vampire hunting reporter, and the vampire who turned him popping in, and life is about to get
Sarah Alexander has just moved to Salem, after spending the past ten years in Los Angeles. Divorced and looking to start over, she picks the one place that has always intrigued her. She figures while making Salem her new home, she can take the time to research that mysterious ancestor that died during the witch trials in 1692. While adjusting to her new surroundings, she finds herself somewhat familiar with some of the historic buildings throughout the town, even though she'd never been here
A vampire take set in Salem?Put vampires and witches together and you get a fun story of love lost and found again. Prior lives lived among those who remember being this story to life. I enjoyed it, but thought the main character was a bit jumpy and prudish to be living in the 21 st century.
Great book! You can download it for free on Smashwords. I definitely recommend you give it a try!
