After finishing Moon Spell I couldn't wait to get River Cast and see what happens next. River Cast was as amazing as Moon Spell. This is definitely a book that sends you through all kinds of emotions... you laugh, cry, and be angry. Following along with Caia and her new family and friends... and enemies will keep you on your toes! She finally has the threat of her uncle out of the way but that is followed by other obstacles and situations. Just like Moon Spell, River Cast keeps you hooked from3.25 stars. Book 2 takes the action and adventure up a notch. Where Moon Spell felt more like a paranormal romance, this second installment in the Lunarmorte series brought a little bit of an edgier urban fantasy vibe to the table. I found the story of the war and oncoming power shift to be a nice addition to the mix. Our female lead Caia struggled with her own beliefs and had to make hard decisions about who she was going to be, even if it meant standing up to the people who had been crucial in
⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*It has too little Lucien*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱ This review is purely for me and does contain spoilers and lots of facts from the book to keep myself in the know at all time. It's also incredibly long and really detailed. Second re-read: 12.05.2018 We're back with my re-read of Caia Cy Ribeiro (18), the hybrid of half a magik, a witch and half lykan and her Pack Leader, Lucien Líder (24). Though they are mates; blessed by Gaia, they decided that they would not be a mated couple. This is the fault of
https://celebrityreaders.wordpress.co...The first one was a lot of background information but once you got all that down it got a whole lot more interesting. Except for the whole, We refuse to be mates just because thing. That actually really fucking annoyed me, I dont understand it. I would have nipped that shit in the bud but thats just me. I personally would have never got with Lucien in the first place because Im not a pushover like Caia is.This book had a lot more stuff going on. There was
Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to walk into unknown territory despite it. When Caia agrees to learn more about her magical abilities and test her position within the Coven/s by actually training on-sight (with Lucien in tow) at the Daylight's headquarters in Paris. Having discovered first hand that her powers are beyond what anyone imagined and continuing to struggle with her inner emotions for Lucien and their "so-called" mating, Caia must once and for all, choose her role
River Cast, the second instalment, in the Tale of Lunarmorte Trilogy is smooth, fast-paced, funny, sexy and drop dead supernatural. I loved how Young brought two of the other characters, Jaeden and Ryder, into the forefront. The sparks between them are great, they're so snarky and funny with each other and bring some light relief to the darker side of the story, as told through Caia and Lucien's eyes. We don't have as much of the pack in this one and I thought I'd really miss them but Young
