In the last book, I really started to dislike Vance. I felt he was selfish and really enjoying his life a demon. He was almost abusive to Portia and it was his way or no way. This book really redeemed him. He set aside his selfishness and tried to be the real Vance. He took Portia's feelings into consideration and did what was best for both of them. I really enjoyed the ending. I really didn't see the ending happening until right as it did. This book keeps you constantly in suspense, wonderingBy far the worst of the series. Can't believe I subjected myself to this dreck.
This is a solid ending for this series. The story provides a lot of conflict, a lot of love, a lot of loss, and a very evil villain. Weatherford provides more close relationships in this book, something that was sorely missing from the last book. Here, she writes a complex story that is emotionally exhausting because the range of feelings elicited span from smiles to sobs, and everything between. The ending is unexpected and leaves certain questions unanswered. This read is interesting and
Again, hiding cause I can't review this one without spoilers for the previous! While I was very happy to see the Coven welcoming Vance back among them (not with them again but just as a friend and family) and I was happy to see Vance becoming his old self again there was also a lot that I wasn't happy with at the end! I had really hoped that Vance could be saved as in cured, espeacially when I heard what his father was chasing after, I really hoped that Portia could have grabbed the box from
I Received An ARC Of This Book In Exchange For My Honest Review!I can't believe this is the final book in the series. From the first book in this series all the way to the last book in the series I was addicted. Vance and Portia have a love that envelopes them and at times it consumes them. This is the most suspenseful of all the books which it to be expected with it being the last book. I never knew what was gonna happen next and was on the edge of my seat while reading and waiting to find out.
I have to say, this last book was my least favorite. I still loved the series and wouldn't trade having read them, but the resolution of the plot was a bit sudden, unexpected and a little too dark for my taste. It was like an almost-happy ending, and I really dislike those. Most people would likely say something about realism, but I read to escape. I dislike endings that force me to accept the reality that happy endings are the things of fairy tales. At least it wasn't a complete dunking in the
What a truly edge of your seat twisted thriller this series turned out to be. I will admit I was a little hesitant in the beginning but my belief in this series being something more won me over and I became taken over by these books. I loved every minute of Portia and Vance and was totally thrilled that their story had some ups and downs and hardships just like everyone else does. They band together and took on each obstacle that hit their path in stride. I do believe that true love conquers
