So many things about the first story irked me:1) How Jacob had known Kate for years, and yet refused to believe her about the pool incident. 2) How Jacob treated Kate after their first night ~together~.3) How Jacob's father, Hank, and the housekeeper, Janet, kept trying to pressure Kate into accepting Jacob's proposal. 4) As mentioned in another review, Jacob's inability to acknowledge his love for Kate until the *very* end. Another DP book for me in my quest to figure out why I like her books as much as I do. Was this a typical Diana Palmer romance? Yes. Did I like it? Yes.
