Commentary In Pursuance Of Books Vampire Knight, Vol. 2 (Vampire Knight #2)
*no spoilers of the previous volume or this one*This was great! It's reminding me why I fell in love with the anime so much. There is so much tension between the characters due to their complex emotions. I love that Kaname and Zero have a complicated relationship because AND despite of Yuuki. Their backgrounds are so strong, and that impacts how they interact with each other.
Yuuki is stuck in the middle, but not because of some crush, but because they're both the closest thing to family that she's ever known. Kaname is her first memory, the one who saved her life years ago and found her a home, the one who taught her things and helped her relearn the world. Zero is the one who came to her broken, the one she helped pick up the pieces in the wake of a tragedy, the one that had nothing to hold on to, but his pain and her kindness.
If you're gonna do a love triangle, DO IT LIKE THIS. One where everyone matters, one where each character is layered, and make it harder for the reader to choose. Kaname and Zero are complicated people on their own, they have a lot of pain and weight in their lives, and I think Yuuki is a light for both of them. They also have lots of difficult feelings towards one another, which shows, but they don't go on fighting to win the girl or some other petty thing. They know very well that hurting each other would hurt her, and she's is the closest thing they have to family as well.
ugh I love everyone here and I'm so happy to be with these characters again.

I think by now I should pick a team? but I'm conflicted between Zero and Kaname, but also I'm loving all the twists and the introduction of more characters and all the complications that could happen. This manga is so fast paced, and a lot of recent vampire stuff seem to have a lot of recurring ideas, especially when it's a romance.

The Day Class is unaware of Zeros secrethe is a vampire, and has been turning more and more so over the past four years. If they knew the truth, would they be so quick to embrace him as the rising star of their class? And how will the knowledge of what he is becoming affect his relationship with Yuki?Yuki and Zero get an unexpected privilegethey get to run into town on an errand for the headmaster. Normally, leaving school grounds is rather restricted. Yuki is determined to have fun, even if
I read this volume so fast! I find manga goes by really quickly and I am enjoying this story. I will say what I said in my review of volume 1 though-I don't get very attached or invested in manga/graphic novels, and I think i'd enjoy the anime more than this. I didn't feel that much happened in this volume and the vampire hunter stuff passed by way too quickly. I liked seeing more of Zero and how complex he is, I'm definitely favouring him more right now because we see more of his story than of
The binging continues....Since I have the first fifteen volumes of this series, I might as well binge one a day until I've finished what I have! Then I'll have to hunt down the remaining once all of this insanity is over...But until then, it's Vampire Knight season! This time around:A sexy vampire hunter guy with an eye patch comes around and he knows Zero. Zero goes into hiding, so of course Yuki has to go find him because she adores him. And she does something so wildly against the rules...
I am not sure yet whether I like Kaname better or Zero.
