WOW !! I don't know where to begin with the review for this book. If you thought the first 3 were intense then get ready for the intensity level to be upped by 100000 !! I absolutely loved who the author pulled me in from the start, at times i wanted to do serious harm to Jack L Pyke for what Gray, Jan and Jack/Martin are put through too. But now i have the problem of waiting to see WTF happens next ?? I mean, it's not a HUGE cliffy but it's enough of one to have you waiting with baited breatheI loved this. Everybody's pain was so raw, and each word and touch exchanged between the guys was so emotionally charged. I found myself reading very, very slowly - both so I could capture every nuance, but also because it's a complex read that takes time to process. I'm not even sure I caught half of the MI5-MI6-et al. secret agent stuff (which is my terrible characterization of what was a well-thought out plot.) Being back with Gray, Jack, and Jan was like coming home to find I had the thrill of old friends dropping by for a visit - SO fucking good to see them again.
