"We all have to do our part if we're to survive the coming storm."Alexandra Jennings might be the hero of The Medoran Chronicles, but she would be lost without her three closest friends. They are her heroes, and like all heroes, they each have their own story.
Meet the real D.C. in Crowns and Curses and discover how she becomes the princess Alex once despised but now adores.
Follow Jordan on his healing journey in Scars and Silence as he struggles in the wake of being rescued from his living nightmare.
Walk beside Bear in Hearts and Headstones as he faces an unspeakable trauma while helping his world prepare for the coming war.
D.C., Jordan and Bear are the heroes of their own stories.
It is time for their stories to be told.

*RE-READ FEB 2019*Ive come to the conclusion that Jordans novella is probably my favourite. Its so raw and full of emotion and I cant help but melt learning more about this character and how he became who he is and how he deals with certain events.*ORIGINAL REVIEW*It's probably time I reviewed this one, seeing as I read it so long ago! This companion bind-up of the D.C., Jordan and Bear novellas is a beautiful and brilliant addition to The Medoran Chronicles, and one that is so incredibly5 stars and moreIt's no secret I've really enjoyed this series and this book was no exception. It's basically three short stories covering the same period as the previous books but from a different perspective. The world building is superb as always. It's so easy to be swept up and away in this amazing tale. So vivid, so descriptive, just captivating. So this is mostly about Bear, D.C and Jordan who are the main protagonist Alex's best friends. Many of the fantastic cast of the books are here too
This book just made me wanna cry, grab the characters, give them a big hug, and then reassure them that everything will be ok. Big feels and great insight into DC, Jordan and Bear from their own perspectives.
**Re-Read Feb 19** Let me reaffirm my original statement that THIS IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT BOOK. Now, since I'm re-reading, let me go into a little more detail of each story as I finish them. You can read my original gushing a little further down.WARNING: This review contains spoilers for the first four books in the seriesFIRST UP!Crowns & CursesThe book opens with DC at age 13, trying to deal with an episode of bullying that occurred five years earlier. I haven't hugely connected with DC
A truly amazing set of novellas. As usual, Lyn has gone above and beyond with this book, and it provides incredible insights into the lives of D.C., Jordan, and Bear. I can't wait for more of Lyn's work.
I received a copy from Pantera in exchange for an honest review. (THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU)For me novellas are always tricky because theyre trying to blend in with the main story without repeating too much and I can often find them boring because they dont always have enough content for me.But this was definitely not the case for these beautiful novellas. This is the perfect companion for fans to read and cuddle during the long days before Vardaesia arrives in our lives. We Three Heroes was the
I'm always on the fence about novellas, especially when you don't know how it ties into the story and whether it is actually mandatory reading. But we've followed D.C., Bear and Jordan throughout Alex's journey for 4 books now, and I'm so glad to hear that we got to hear from their point of view here. Most of it is told concurrently to Draekora/Graevale so that's definitely required reading before picking up this one.The first story, Crowns and Curses talks about D.C.'s life as a princess
