Water exists in many places in the universe and may be the principal element for life on Earth's surface. Its presence is a hallmark of the habitable zones for living things (humans, animals, and plants). About 70 percent of Earth's surface is covered with water, but only about 1 percent of the water on Earth's surface is usable by living things (groundwater and surface water). Water has several properties that make it unique among compounds and make it possible for all forms of known life to function. Water is a uniquely wonderful substance on Earth that naturally occurs in three different states: solid, liquid, and gaseous. All living things depend on water. When water resources are polluted, all forms of life are threatened. Water scarcity is a function of cultural activities and human civilization. It is very important to highlight water's pivotal role as the essential ingredient for life and to develop a comprehensive framework for creating water-resource policies to manage water resources. This book includes photographs of water and life to demonstrate to the reader water's properties and water's effects on life.

Criticism Appertaining To Books Water and Life
I found Water and Life by Dr Kaltoum Belhassan to be a beautiful, informative and highly educational text that I would highly recommend to those who enjoy science but absorb the facts so much better when they are presented alongside jaw dropping images which bring the concepts to life in a memorable manner. I read parts of the book with my nine year old nephew and it captured his imagination and his 'thirst' for knowledge about this essential resource in our world and beyond. Sectioned for easy

Dr Kaltoum Belhassan: has produced a comprehensive, enjoyable and thoroughly well researched scientific guide to all aspects of how "water is "the creator of life on this globe"The general gist of the book is very clear "That Water Is The Essence Of Life" and that human beings would not survive on this planet without this valuable resource., It contains a myriad of factual information on molecular science that is clearly laid out, with beautifully crafted graphics, that will entice even the most

Dr. Kaltoum BELHASSAN got her PhD in hydrogeology in 2011 from University of the Sciences of Dhar El Mehraz, Fez "Morocco". Before her thesis was complete she had already published a number of papers which almost of them are about water and climate change and they would form part of the work of her thesis. In addition, Dr. Kaltoum BELHASSAN is very passionate of water sciences.Dr Kaltoum Belhassan's book about Water and Life shows the overwhelming importance of water for life creation and support.Being a scientist who lives in Canada, I learned many new facts about water. For example, my country is granted with 50% of all the lakes in the world. Now, when  I will cross the street in front of my home to go swimming in Lake Masson, Esterel (Quebec), I will remember that I learned it from Dr Belhassan. Her book covers, in a very simple albeit scientific way, everything
