This is absolutely the worst of all the Time of Legends books from the Warhammer World. The plot is completely predictable, the characters are all completely flat, the action has nothing special. The worst thing is you can see McNeill tried to weave in some Conan references (the only rrason the book gets a second star), but the result falls short as even Conan wasn't as perfect as Sigmar. The blandness of this book makes me think the author somehow knew the Age of Shitmar was coming...Heldenhammer The time of Legends by Graham McNeill is a great read. It was Published by the Black Library. It is an action packed book about the race of men defending themselves from Orc hordes and other types of deadly enemies. It is an affordable read at only nine US dollars. This book is one of the great books from the Warhammer world. The black library has printed hundreds of books about these amazing adventures similar to the one in the book, the main character of Sigmar. All of the books
The story within the book was pretty engaging. I really like how Sigmar's character was really developed through the losses of his father, Bjorn, Trinovantes and Ravenna.

HOLY SIGMAR! BLESS THIS RAVAGED BODY..
Sigmar. I like him. You could easily argue hes a one-dimensional character, a conventional hero, a man of honour, a defender of mankind. And he is, but I dont think thats a bad thing. The world of literature needs those characters. Just like Kenshiro in Fist of the North Star, or Goku in Dragon Ball. The writing is decent, and combats, in particular the 50 page finale of the battle at Blackfire Pass, is evocative. Theres some rather obvious flaws though. Namely that the story itself is quite
This is the first in Black Library's new Time Of Legends series. These novels will cover some of the most legendary heroes and villians, bringing the history of the Warhammer world to life. HELDENHAMMER is Book One of the Sigmar trilogy. Humanity struggles to survive, split into primitive tribes warring with each other, the greenskins and monsters of the world. Sigmar of the Unberogen tribe has a vision to unite the tribes. This novel covers the events that will lay the foundation of the Empire,
Sometimes you're sick of reading something and knowing that it is beautiful and tackling difficult matters in life, the segregation between cultures and skincolours and skincolours. And you just want an action-movie punched between two leather covers. And that's why you read a book about Sigmar. Sigmar Heldenhammer. Who wouldn't just ask the bar-lady to not shake his martini, he'd glance over to his calafornia-king-size-Hammer and tell her to stir it with a roar. That book was great.
