Notice About Books Good Things Happened Today

At the beginning of this book, there was just too much philosophy to get me interested. I persevered through the thick of the beginning and came to the actual narrative. The story was compelling - I really love plots that revolve around the interconnectivity of strangers and how they meet. I liked the characters a lot. They seemed like real people living average lives. Overall, an okay read. Would be much better if the first few chapters were edited better to shorten the exposition.

I really wanted to like this book, but after it was all said and done it was not one of my favorites. The ideas behind the book are good and thought provoking. However, the ending really ruined it for me.

I got it free with one of the goodreads giveaways! I did enjoy the book. It was from an interesting perspective and not always predictable. I was reminded quite a lot of the book The Shack.

The sentiment behind this book is what made me decide to read it. Other reviews cited inspiration. I have to say that the mysticism just felt flat to me. I received this book free from the Goodreads Giveaway. I enjoyed the story and the encouragement it offered, however there were gaps in the story where much needed filler was absent. For example, why would a type A ad man leave his NYC job one day and not even struggle with the fact that he has a career make/break campaign in the works? There were other gaps, but overall, the story was entertaining and heart lifting. I would like to read a revision that fills in and details the characters. I
