This book takes the form of an essay, arguing for a multiverse using anthropic reasoning. It fails, miserably.The author brings up fine tuning, such as the Hoyle carbon coincidence, how cosmological constant almost 0, how gravity is weak, etc. I don't have a problem with very weak anthropic reasoning. For example, we might look to find a good explanation for a small, non-zero cosmological constant. When we estimate the value for the cosmological constant based on our current understanding, weFYI I do not subscribe to ID but I do think the universe is probably an artefact. Read the book to find out what the difference is!
Nothing more mind blowing than physics. I probably understood about 30% of this book, but that's ok. I understand what he is getting at, but I could not reproduce the arguments. But an awesome ride into the frontiers on contemporary cosmology and quantum physics.
Interesting subject matter, but then there are arguments in favor of intelligent design at the end of the book. Honestly, would not have read it if I knew the book was pro-intelligent design.

It never ceases to amaze me how hard some scientists work to explain away the need for a Creator. It's almost as if they are afraid of a Creator.
