Wow!!! is the word that comes to mind with this book. This book is something else. I really enjoyed this book and I could not put it not down.. I actually finished this book in one day because it was hard for me to put down. I only gave it 4 stars because I don't like the way the ended but other than that this book is great!!This book was a quick read for me. I liked it because Miasha wrote about something that most writers dare not touch, because of the ignorance that will come behind it from the readers. Yes the story is about a transgendered woman, but so what? It was a human tale and had it been a "normal" person hiding a major secret i'm sure the outcome would have been the same, because trauma is trauma. Changing the sex of the character did not make the book any less than what it was to me. Yes, she spoke a
This was my debut novel. It put me on the map and solidified me as a "writer to watch"...-Publisher's Weekly.I am proud to have written this jaw-dropping, fast-paced, best seller. It's a breath of fresh air in urban lit!Check it out along with it's Sequel, Never Enough and Trilogy, Til Death...Let me know what you think!
Lies don't pay. They do catch up with you. We could all learn from this book. Tina should have taken her own advice. Come clean, even if it was too late. We all react to being hurt and lied to in different ways, don't get caught up.
OMG!!!! I think every man should read this book. This is going on right now where as these gay men looking and acting like women. This book is a must read I really enjoyed readiing this I laughed and cried with Celess
Erm. Trying to think of something nice to say. Prose is crisp. Tons of product name-dropping that gets boring unless you like that kind of escapism. Plot is really thin. Two young women live on handouts from rich men in exchange from mechanically describes sex. The tension centers around the potential revelation of a "secret," which, if you are old and liberal, is probably kind of old hat. If your young and stuffy you might be biting your nails, but you'll probably be fustiated instead. And,
The ONLY thing I didn't like about the book was I couldn't tell people what it was about without giving away the whole plot! LOL
